COP26: She Changes Climate Activist Sisters panel
The climate crisis is at our doorstep and affecting us all. But the perspectives on, and decisions about how to tackle it have been made mainly by men who speak on behalf of a fraction of the population.
Only 2 out of 12 UK COP26 Unit Directors, who have overall responsibility for managing the COP’s policy, international negotiations and campaigns, are women.
Join SHE Changes Climate and our brilliant speakers on Gender Day (9th November), for a day of live panels and interviews at The Pipe Factory in the art district of Glasgow. During the day, we’ll be highlighting why women are crucial in climate leadership. The event series will be framed by art, music and poetry, curated by Kit Ondaatje Rolls, with advice from Lucia Pietroiusti. Plus, ’26 Forgotten Voices’ Sound Installation, developed by the SHE Changes Climate Collective (SCCC).
Throughout the day, the art exhibition ‘Breathing Space’ by artist Gina Allen will be taking place on the 2nd floor. This exhibition honors the death of Rosamund Kissi-Debrah’s nine-year-old daughter, Ella, who died as a result of air pollution.
